SPS is a partner organisation, consisting of senior business professionals who specialise in helping small and medium sized businesses to set and achieve their strategic objectives. All partners are highly experienced, down to earth, hands on practitioners, with a diverse range of skills and expertise. The organisation has around 50 partners and operates nationally. Bob Holmes heads up its representation in Essex and South Suffolk.

Bob is a chartered accountant and spent the first ten years of his career with Price Waterhouse, before joining the ferry industry, where he rose to become Finance Director of Stena Line (UK) Ltd between 1991 and 1997. He moved to the rail industry, and gained experience as Finance Director of a public company with Prism Rail PLC. He was subsequently Finance Director and Company Secretary of Seawheel Ltd, a European transport and logistics business. He joined SPS in 2003.

During his 12 years experience as Finance Director, Bob has been at the heart of the strategic development of these businesses. As a board member, he participated with board colleagues in manging issues faced by multi-million pound companies. He is now successfully applying these skills in helping owner-managed businesses across a range of industries. He also holds non-executive Board positions with the Dover Harbour Board and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
